After her parents were murdered, Layna Blair spent three years on the run - until Marine Sergeant Blaze Johnson stepped in and saved her. With him, Layna knew safety for the first time … but two weeks after shipping out for another tour in Afghanistan, Blaze comes home early.
When Layna sees the jagged wounds covering his body, every truth she thought she knew is destroyed. Blaze is distant and angry and though her heart is shattered, Layna desperately tries to keep their relationship together in the face of another tragedy. When the tenuous bonds holding them together are ripped apart by a revenge-hungry maniac, Layna must trust her survival instinct and bury her past for good.
But the enemy is two steps ahead, and before she can take action, Layna’s hand is forced by his deadly demands - save herself or save the man who risked his life for her freedom. Blaze saved her once. This time it’s her turn to protect him.

His intense gaze fixed on mine, he held out his hand but he didn’t say anything.
I slipped my fingers into his and the heat that shot up my arm and spread through me settled in like a low, constant pulse of awareness that made everything inside me tingle. I looked up and was startled to see him frowning. “What’s wrong?”
The crease in his brow went deeper and the seriousness in his eyes twisted like hesitation. “Not one thing.”
His words not matching his expression, he looked distracted, bordering on nervous. But that was impossible. Blaze Johnson didn’t get nervous, ever. “Blaze?”
He brought my hand to his lips and gently kissed me. “My Layna,” he whispered.
My heart melted. “I love you.”
The soft smile that barely touched the corners of his mouth was his only response. A few months ago, the gesture and lack of words would have eaten at me. Tonight? I understood the intimacy. I knew I was seeing a smile that no one else in the world ever saw. I knew the twist of those lips and quiet reverence was a promise of what would come later when we were behind closed doors. I knew his silence meant he was comfortable enough to let his body language speak for him. I knew this because he’d taught me how to pay attention.
Blaze led us to the elevator and we silently waited. When we stepped into the small space, the atmosphere swelled with his presence and the butterflies came swarming back, swirling with a heady tension I’d become addicted to. The memory of his body earlier today over me, in me, it made desire coil hot and urgent in my blood.
Breathless, I cleared my throat. “Where are we going for dinner?”
His thumb slowly dragged across the back of my hand like he knew my every desire-laced thought but when his eyes traveled from my face to my dress. His features became hauntingly stern. “Not far,” the gentle cadence of his voice at odds with his expression.
“Is everything alright?”
The elevator doors slid open but instead of walking out, Blaze turned and cupped my face. His eyebrows drew tight. “I want tonight to be perfect for you. If it’s not what you want, you tell me. Understand?” His expression, his voice, they were so fierce, he looked angry.
The butterflies in my stomach became sharp angles and something close to panic seeped in. “What do you mean?”
“This is your choice, Layna. Remember that.”

Praise for the Book
"I thoroughly enjoyed this book! way more than the first. [...] The truth is this book was hit after hit after hit for these two, and it kept me on my toes, and I really liked it. I think that this a well written glimpse into a few months of their lives, and relationships that make them who they are. I loved having Talon back, I think he is just the sweetest, and we finally learnt his story as well and there was so much to take in with that story, it was unbelievable, but Talon needs a girl, and I hope he gets one soon. Meeting some more of Blaze's friends was also a fun treat, they are all so Marine but so different. I hope that we will get to know what happens with these two in a few months, cause I don't think I'm ready to shelve them just yet." ~ Shanna on Goodreads

From the Author
I grew up in Northern California with my head in a book and my feet in the sand. I dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew me into the world of storytelling. I love the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes me swoon.
I now live in Southern Florida and while I don’t get to read as much as I like, I still bury my toes in the sand. If I’m not writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in my backyard, you can find me spending time with my handsomely tattooed husband, my brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer …
But Seriously?
Here are ten things you probably really want to know about me.
I grew up a faculty brat. I can swear like a sailor. I love men in uniform. I hate being told what to do. I can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks me out. My favorite word is desperate … or dirty, or both - I can’t decide. I have a thing for muscle cars. But never reply on me for driving directions, ever. And I have a new book boyfriend every week - don’t tell my husband.

"Confessions of a Fat Girl" by Holly Dae

Confessions of a Fat Girl
by Holly Dae

Holly Dae's Confessions of a Fat Girl is currently on tour with Itching for Books. Also available: Cracks (FREE).

The tour stops here today for an excerpt and a giveaway. Please be sure to visit the other tour stops as well.

For another book by this author, please check out my blog post on Confessions of a Teenage Rape Survivor.

Love doesn't always heal. Sometimes, it reopens the wound and makes new ones.
Smart and ambitious Season Minett was homeschooled, got accepted into college at 16, graduated with a B.A. in English at 20, got a job at a prestigious magazine at 21, and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. Twenty-two-year-old Season has it made and everyone knows it. Except Season herself.
People can gush over her all day long, but Season knows they’re just being nice. In reality, she’s accomplished nothing. She doesn’t work hard enough, can’t get her book published, and worst of all at 5’6, 180 pounds with a thirty-two inch waist, a forty-four inch hip, and arms too big for her body, she’s fat and ugly. She's such a disappointment that after her mother divorced Season's dad, she went to live with her new, younger boyfriend and left Season to mother the rest of her siblings. So Season is quite bewildered when the guy she sees every weekend at the bookstore shows serious interest in her. And she ends up liking him. A lot.
Season's not naive enough to think love will solve all her problems though. In fact, love seems to be making everything worse because her food obsession is growing more and more out of her control. But that's impossible. There's nothing wrong with counting calories and wanting to be thin. There's nothing wrong with trying to be as perfect as everyone thinks she is. A fat girl can't develop an eating disorder, let alone have one. Right?

Praise for the Book
"I loved the names that Ms. Dae came up with. I give her kudos for going ahead and writing a book that deals with a lot of issues young people and older people deal with. She deals with an eating disorder, drugs, sex, and a messed up family situation. So, bravo Ms. Dae I commend you on dealing with those issues!" ~ Tammy
"This was an interesting book. It centers around a young woman, Season, who is overweight and type A personality. [...] Season also has an undiagnosed eating disorder. [...] This book had a lot of twists and turns (and a few other unique names) and Victor ... can I just say that he rocks? Season tries to push him away and he won't be pushed away. I believe his love for her is what saves her, really. He makes her realize that what she's doing is wrong, and the impact it's having on her life - on everyone's lives. This wakes her up and she makes some great, positive decisions that make her life better." ~ Erin C.

About the Author
Stuck in the transition between graduating from college and starting a life called no job, Holly Dae spends most of her free time writing raw and edgy Young Adult and New Adult contemporary novels that deal with rape, drugs, sex, and general psychological ills. When she isn't doing that, she's writing fanfiction for fun and obsessively playing Mario Kart Eight and Pokemon Games.

by Amity Jones

Growing up with my father had helped me to learn valuable ways of what to do and not to do regarding dating. I am so grateful he took the time with me to make sure I would have the best type of person in my life. This book is designed to help parents talk to their kids about dating. In addition, singles that have struggled and for those back into the dating world after being out of it for a long time. In this book you will find fast ways of how to meet that guy or girl; beginning of dating; who makes the first move; great conversation starters; and when to move on. As a bonus I have some tips I have learned along the way and have found helpful for me as well as my friends I have shared them with.

Praise for the Book
"Excellent advice for any stage of life. This book gives great practical and smart advice. I would recommend it to my friends that are dating, and found things that are helpful in my marriage. I will definitely pick it up again when my kids get a little older - to use as a teaching tool. Very good read!!!" ~ Elizabeth Martin
"This book gives a clear picture of the most important things that one should learn about dating. The wonderful thing about the book is that it is a personal account of many of the lessons learned by the author which were passed down by her father. It is a refreshing approach to dating. I believe that Amity the author, has written this book not only from personal experience but from her heart. I would recommend this book for anyone faced with the challenges of dating. Also, the amazing thing about the book is that she used many of these ideas on her journey before marriage as well. So, they are tried and true ideas. You will not be disappointed when you read this great little book on dating!!!" ~ Peggy Price
"I bought this for a friend of mine, but read a good portion of it before I passed it on. It was easy to read and I love the connection with the author and her Father. I think it's great to get both a female and male perspective on the subject. I've been married for 20 years, but found it a fun read for me. My friend hasn't finished the book, but says she already has a new game plan when she decides she's ready to re-enter the dating scene!" ~ HNW4life
"This book is a quick read but don't let the speed deceive you into thinking there isn't a lot to it! I appreciated the mix of personal stories with practical input. As I was reading I thought 'I want my daughter (who is now 18) to read this - it will help her in her dating life!' You don't have to be dating to gain wisdom from this book!" ~ Libby C. Vincent
"This book clearly discusses a lot of points where we can improve ourselves and within our relationships so we can keep it real, and keep it right. This book will let the single folks not be afraid and be prepared for the worst when it comes to dating. The tips in this book are very helpful to make each relationship last." ~ A W

Guest Post by the Author
My inspiration for Writing this Book
Over the last 10 years, something inside me has wanted to write a dating book about my dad’s dating knowledge he passed down to me. My friends and family would ask me how I dated such amazing men and when I found they weren’t taught the same things I was growing up about dating, I knew I had to tell my story. When I started asking my circle of friends about their dating experiences growing up and the bigger question of "how did they learn how to date?" I was always puzzled when the majority of them said they were never taught by their parents. I had the aha moment and started writing down notes for my dating book.
With all the dating and relationship/marriage books I have read over the last 25 years, I wanted to write something that was simple, fast, and to the point. Most of the points in my book are probably things everyone has heard at some point while they were dating or in a relationship. By writing this I wanted to help as many people before dating as they won’t have to endure as many heartaches or they can learn a few tips to help their next relationship go smoother.
I have been surprised at the response of who have read my book and how much it has helped them from all ages, male or female, parents to share with their kids, whether they are dating, married, or single. It feels good to be able to guide my readers to how to date, what a healthy relationship is and when to move on. I have been contacted by many of my readers saying how much the book has helped them in so many ways. One reader was so happy to hear what my father had taught me about dating since she didn’t have a father growing up. I didn’t realize the impact I was going to have when I wrote this book.

About the Author
Amity Jones grew up with her father from age 8 and on. Learning the simple steps of dating, among other things, were very helpful in finding the most amazing men in her life. After she did a personal survey of her friends the last 10 years and found that they didn't really learn "how-to-date" other than from trial and error, from their dysfunctional parents, and/or their peers that didn't know what they were doing. It led her to write this book to help others learn her dating tips from dad.

Praise for the Book
"Suspenseful, sexy, and riveting! This book had me begging for more until the last page! I couldn't put it down! This book gives wolves a whole new definition!" ~ C. L. Matthews, Sassy Cassie's Reviews
"This book has it all - strong female lead, hotter than hot alpha male, steamy sex, enough mayhem and magic to keep you riveted in this unbelievably great story L.P. Dover just delivered us." ~ goodem
"L. P. Dover does a great job of telling Bailey's tale. [...] The author keeps the reader on a roller coast of emotion til the end of the book. Dark secrets are slowly revealed by those closest to her and Bailey is left reeling. With every turn of the page, the reader is left to wonder if Bailey will get her happily ever after or will she be thrown to the wolves." ~ C. Melloh
"Turn of the Moon was a fantastic read! L.P. Dover’s shift into writing paranormal romance was definitely done with perfection and ease. Ms. Dover writes a great story concerning the wolves and the packs that they belong to. [...] This book is filled with twists, turns, suspense, hot alpha wolves (I mean HOT), and so much more. I literally was grabbed from the very beginning of the book and could not put it down until I was at the end. I am in love with the paranormal world that Ms. Dover has created and cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us." ~ Kim Walker
"If you are a LP Dover fan, you will fall in love with these characters just like you have all her others! Strong female role and sexy alpha guy, you know you can't go wrong there. The story flowed well and considering it is paranormal and it seems to take a little bit more detail then a regular romance to help the story flow like it should, LP knocked it out of the park. I'm not a huge paranormal fan, but LP is turning me toward the moon with these wolves. Great start to a new series and I look forward to more to come!" ~ S. Lewis
