"Cute little book for kids with a valuable lesson." ~ Literary Wonders!
"The book is both, fun and educational, and the characters are cleverly chosen by the author, as dolphins and orcas are both members of the cetaceans, which means they are relations after all. It's a book which parents will enjoy to read to their young ones and it leaves room for interesting discussions afterwards." ~ MasterReader
"This charming book of friendship and rescue will be a hit for sure with your little ones." ~ Marilyn
"I read this book to my three children tonight before bed. They loved it! You can't go wrong with aquatic animals!" ~ Karisa

My Review

By Lynda Dickson
Bubba the dolphin meets a creature with a dorsal fin and a tail similar to his own. It turns out to be Ollie the Orca, who is in need of rescuing. Find out how Bubba saves Ollie and makes a new friend.
The illustrations by Mike Motz are extremely cute and help bring the story to life. There is a nice lesson for the kids here about not venturing out alone.
I look forward to sharing the further adventures of Bubba and his buddies.

About the Author
When Laura Maw was a child, her favorite activities were going to the ocean and picking out another stack of books from the library. She loved reading from a very young age and could never seem to satisfy her craving for another new adventure, another new imagination landscape.
Writing is a passion that seemed to come naturally with her love of reading. She too wanted to be able to help someone through a bad day, or to have a unique and thrilling experience on a good day, through the written communication of a story. She has a very vivid imagination that often takes her on wondrous adventures in her dreams. In fact, the idea for Bubba’s Balloon came to her in the form of a very funny dream. She woke up laughing and felt that it was a story that must be shared with others. The character of Ollie was even developed through daydreaming about Bubba’s adventures.
