Description
Concrete Walls And Steel Bars: The New Willie Lynch is the key to unlocking the chains that many mentally imprison many African Americans.
In 1712, a man named Willie Lynch gave a speech to slave owners telling them, "If you follow my instructions, you will have the negro under your control for the next 300 years." This mindset, infused in the philosophy he taught to slave owners - which was to beat, burn and scar slaves - has now influenced the trauma and mental illnesses affecting generations of African Americans today. Today we see many of his teachings in our African Americans on a day to day basis. Now not knowing why we feel this way, or react the way we do towards one another. Concrete Walls and Steel Bars: The New Willie Lynch is the key to unlocking the chains and release your mental and emotional freedoms that you desire.

Excerpt
This is what “Willie Lynch” has done to our communities: “brainwashed” them at the highest degree possible. But a large percentage of our own “folks” are also guilty of doing this to ourselves. As I sit back and listen to what our music has become today, I am convinced that society has become the music and the music has become our society. Music is the new messenger. Music is the new leader. Music is not only influential but it can be held responsible for a majority of the ignorance we see our communities drowned in today. You want to hear something funny? I, too, am a rap artist; “gangsta rap” at that. So I take full responsibility for the role I’ve played in destroying my own community and the minds of so many innocent youths. That’s why I’ve taken a stand to change the content of my music. The material that’s being put out today can be considered somewhat poisonous, with the exception of a few exceptional artists.
For example, take the sister, Nikki Minaj. And just to let you know Nikki, there’s no disrespect intended. But she has a large movement, a lot of followers and the majority of them are young enough to be first and second graders. Now when Nikki promotes a song about big butts and shaking your ass for dollars, we all know it’ll more than likely climb up the charts and come with an explicit video. But who do you think is sitting in front of the TV screen, mimicking word-for-word and doing all the moves as if they are on the Twister game board? Exactly. Our young girls; our daughters. And don’t get me wrong―shout out to Nikki for the real positive, motivational material that she does put out―but some of these kids aren’t fully developed mentally to the point where they can separate reality from entertainment. They hear “Barbie” and automatically register the term with the doll in their bedroom. We can’t possibly be that naïve and teach our young sisters to “suck dick, get ass shots, get plastic surgery,” or “get that nigga for all he got,” and not think they are going to just ignore it as entertainment.
It’s time that we as leaders and role models perform a self-assessment of what we do, what we say and what we feed into the minds of our youths. God has blessed a lot of entertainers with the talent to speak and deliver our stories in rare form, but we have to remember we have great influence in the same communities which support us and what we promote, and more than likely they will too.
